Murder
By Order
She was
halfway down the stairs to the wine cellar when the light went
out. She stood on the stairs shaking, there was an ominous silence,
yet she had a strong sense that someone else was near, a presence.
But where she didn't know.
It was the
horrendous roar of the helicopters overhead flying at tree level.
Photographers dangling dangerously out of them trying to get
pictures of the body being removed.

At
Knife Point
As his gaze
began to trace her body his eyes stopped short of making her
feel totally undressed. She liked the look of him.
The doors
opened, she stepped into the elevator pushing the button, he
stepped in just before the doors closed. Then like an optical
illusion, she saw the knife; it was too late to scream.
